Water Supply
An independent, uninterrupted supply of clean water is supplied through our own borehole, supplemented by two emergency water tanks. The system effectively negates problems with municipal outages. The borehole water has been tested for purity at an authorized laboratory. As an additional measure, it is thoroughly filtered as it is pumped into the house.
Electricity
Full solar systems have been installed at both the main house and the cottage. Not only does this ensure an uninterrupted power supply during load shedding, it forms part of our contribution to conserving energy, promoting green, sustainable power, and reducing our carbon footprint. In the event of prolonged, poor weather, or lack of sunshine, the solar panels are backed up by a generator.
