South Coast Beaches

Margate, Ramsgate and Marina Beach have been awarded the international Blue Flag status.
Ramsgate, Manaba, Port Shepstone, Umtentweni, Southport, Munster, Marina Beach, Leisure Bay, Trafalgar and Southbroom beaches tend not to get too crowded.
For fun in the sun and entertainment for the whole family, Margate, Uvongo, St Mikes, Port Edward or Hibberdene beaches are the places to be. In season beach volley ball, games and live entertainment are provided for your enjoyment.
The main beaches are all protected by shark nets and have life guards on hand.
Shelly Beach is the home of the Sonny Evans Small Craft Harbour, the largest of it's kind south of Durban. The National Sea Rescue Institute and the Shelly Beach Ski Boat Club are also based here.
